Debut from Hand Habits is out next month, after plenty of plays of the two tracks available on Spotify I’ll be making the album my first purchase of the new year followed quickly by Moon Duo and then Holly Macve’s debut Golden Eagle, what with the reissue of Cavern of Antimatters first album and a return to form from The Flaming Lips a pretty good start to 2017 methinks.

The David Kitt album is really nice.

My most anticipated album is the Mark Eitzel record with Bernard Butler, out at the end of the month.

Fans of Sharon Van Etten may care to know she’s in a new Netflix series called The OA, which is a bit Heroes-meets-Flatliners-meets-Stranger-Things, and pretty good if you like that sort of thing. HNY, all.

Nora – what did you make of last slow club album – i recall it was you who put me on to them. I was really disppointed in it – the girl is the big selling point in the band and hardly sings at all.

I’ve discovered a great album from last year by “The Slow Show” – They are from Manchester, mellow, orchestral.

Hurts from the album called Dream Darling is a reasonable place to start…I think they have a bit of a sticks feel, a bit the national..I think their are people here will like them.

    Spotify if interested

Also a radio documentary on the Blue Nile

The new Jarvis Cocker album with Chilly Gonzalez is lovely – light piano and interesting lyrics based around an old hotel..

Room 29 the album – Tearjerker the song below
